The Asking Price for this pen is: $650 Here we have what I call the masterpiece of the Capless Pens. The 1970's Black Stripe Capless. The Capless pens (they are known as Namiki Vanishing Points outside of the Asian markets) enjoy something of a cult following. I receive even more e-mails about them than I do about maki-e pens. And their popularity keeps on growing. The black stripes on this pen are just like the stripes on the Pilot Murex and Custom pens. The stripes are deeply engraved into the metal and then blackened. They will never wear away. At the same time, the engraved stripes make a comfortable grip on the pen. Unlike the modern Capless pens, these vintage models seem much easier to write with. This is not the rarest of the capless pens, the "Gravity Lock" model is much harder to find, but then again, this one isn't easy to find, and this pen is the most apealing model.
