The Erie Fountain Pen

The Erie Pen

The Erie pen is something like the slightly earlier Orion pen. The Orion was department store Maruzen's attempt at offering a quality pen at an afordable price. Maruzen did this by importing pen parts from London pen manufacturer Onoto. The Erie was department store Isetan's answer.

The big question is from where did Isetan order their parts. I have never seen one of these pens, and I assume that with Maruzen's earlier advertising blitz for the Orion that Isetan's Erie caught little traction.

If any one has a Japanese Erie pen, I would love to hear from you.

The Images

I would like to eventually ad an image of a pen or an advertisement for each of the pen makers in the database. Obviously a Herculean task. If you have an image to share, I would be happy to give you a link and credit.
