H. S. Worth & Co. NY

I have only seen a few of these pens. They were all late 1890's hard rubber eyedropper pens with gold filled bands. The nibs were simple, generic 14K "Waranted" nibs. The barrel has the "H. S. Worth & Co." Imprint.

I haven't found anything else about the company, I would speculate that this company was more of a jobber orginization; probably acquiring the hard rubber parts from Day Rubber and buying nibs from Aikin Lambert, LeRoy Fairchild, John Foley, or one of the other large gold nib makers that supplied these jobbers.

If anyone else has any information about this company or about Mr. Worth, I would love to hear from you. send me an e-mail at rd@kamakurapens.com

The Images

I would like to eventually ad an image of a pen or an advertisement for each of the pen makers in the database. Obviously a herculian task. If you have an image to share, I would be happy to give you a link and credit.
