Sunday is my favorite day of the week. I sleep late and wake up with the bight sunshine pouring in through the windows. I enjoy coffee and a little time with my notebook computer while I listen to CNN in the background. The English is much too difficult for me to understand. Perhaps if I recorded the segments and played them back slowly I could understand well, but in real time I am lost. However I believe that a little bitty part of my brain hears the English and if I listen to more, it will spread to all the other parts, and magically I will wake up one morning and speak perfect English. my friends if they stop by.

Today Ron-san and I and two other Pen collectors met at Starbucks for an hour or two of Pen Talk. One thing that never stops shocking me is just how much some people pay for pens. One member named Junpei has the entire Montblanc Writer's series. It must have cost him more than some people pay for a home. However, as he showed us his pens, I noticed how proud he was of this collection. He certainly was happy. Perhaps that is what happiness is. Finding that one thing that pleases you and completing it. I wish I could find my one thing.

Love, Meg
