Dear Readers,

I now have two fountain pens in my collection. :) Perhaps two pens does not make a collection, but that is twice as many fountain pens as I ever expected to own.

My first fountain pen is Parker Sonnet with which I have fallen in love. It is small, but so is my hand. I find it just the right size for me. It is the silver fougre model. I like silver pens with gold clips and bands. I have to clean the pen often or else it will dry. I do not mind.

My second pen is Montblanc 149 that Ron-san gave to me. It is about the same size as the Sonnet, but it gets more attention from my friends. They are materialistic and know all the popular brands.

This week I haven't translated catalogs at all. Instead I have been learning making webpages. Ron-san has been a good teacher. I think I am learning, and I intend to make a better Kamakura Pens website. Making webpages is a lot more fun than translating Japanese texts from 1920's.

I carried many fountain pens to post office today for shipping. Renfield went with me and was a big help. He opened the door for me because my hands were full. He calls me "Ohne-chan" This means elder sister in Japanese. Ren is full of Sweetness.

Today in Okinawa the weather has been wet with rain. The sun came out for a little while. My spirits lifted, but then it turned dreary again.

This morning as I was walking through the park to Ron-sans house, I saw a mejiro. This is a very small bird, which is olive green in color, and has white rings around its eyes. These birds fly down to Okinawa during the winter months. They make me happy. He did not seem to mind the gloomy weather. I should learn from him.
