Dear Readers,

Yesterday, Sunday March 27th, Ren-kun and I went fountain pen hunting together. Ren is only five years old, but he seems to know more about pens than any adult I have ever met. He lead me around the markets and guided me towards the tables and places that often contain pens.

We did not find any good pens. A few broken Pilot Elites was all. Better luck next time.

After pen hunting we stopped at the Kohagura Butterfly Garden. I like this place. It is a very large green house with a nice garden and it is

filled with numerous species of rare butterflies. Some of them are very large and some are quite colorful. It was nice to sit in a comfortable chair and watch the butterflies flutter all around us.

Today was a big day for going to the post office. Again I had to spend an hour to write all the information on the invoice papers. I think I know this work better know than some of the people who work for the Post Office.

It was also a sad day for me. When I came to Ron-san's house today I learned that he had sold one of the pens that I liked. It was a Pilot fountain pen called the Buddhist Scriptures. It was worth more than what I would like to pay for a pen. However, I loved to look at this pen. I will be very sad to take this one to the post office.

Rain again today.
