Dear Readers,

Please forgive me. I have abandonment my journal. You see, several weeks ago my mother called me very early in the morning. This was not like my mother, and I was very worried as I tried to force myself awake to listen to her.

My mother quickly calmed herself and explained to me that my father had suffered a major heart attack. This was surprise. My father is a physical fitness advocate who runs nearly every day, does not smoke, and eats wholesomeness. He is the last person I would imagine to suffer from a heart attack.

Even before my mother hung up the phone, I was packing my suitcase.

I have to say thank you to Ron-san. I called him from the airport to tell him I had to hurry back to Yokohama to see my family because of emergency. He didn't worry about the pens, all he asked was if he could do anything to help. This is my first real work, and I have little personal expereince with other employers. However, what I hear from my friends, tells me that this attitude is very rare. Junko, one of my friends, lost her job because she chose to attend her sisters wedding instead of working. I am lucky to have such a nice interesting job and an understanding employer.

Now I need to work very hard to catch up. Ron-san has done nothing for the website in weeks! We have many pens waiting for auction, and my e-mail is overflowing.

Sincerely,

Meg.
