HARRY STADLER TOOK FIRST


Harry Stadler, of Catawissa, won the handsome gold mounted Paul E. Wirt
fountain pen which was offered by J.F. Fisher to the person who could write upon a postal card the greatest number of times the sentence "Buy a Paul E. Wirt fountain pen of (sic) J.F. Fisher, Catawissa, Pa." It was written on 605 times and each word was perfectly legible.

The second prize also a handsome Paul Wirt fountain pen was won by E.C. Miller who wrote it 428 times. Much interest was aroused by the contest and postal cards were received from all parts of the county and other cities.

The judges, John Waters, W.F. Whalen and Harry Yetter, made the award. The vote for second prize was very close with Frank V. Bibby coming third with 412. The next three in order were Frank Ludwig, 408; H.L. Creasy,
341 and Eugene Zimmerman 331.
