I've seen it printed elsewhere that Paul Wirt licensed his lever filler, however,
Paul Wirt did indeed hold his own patent for a lever filler fountain
pen. It would be easy to assume that Wirt licensed a lever since
he licenesed quite a few other filling systems.
Nevertheless Wirt's lever was a little late. By the time Wirt was
producing his lever fountain pens, his company was already losing
ground to Waterman, Parker and Sheaffer.
If you are the type of collector who likes to write with your antique
pens, then you will want to find some Paul Wirt lever-filler fountain
